Trying to cut small grooves on top of my model but struggling to get this detail. Currently cutting it out of wood and abs until i can get the detail i need but eventually want to cut it out of PEEK. I have the Roland MDX-540 with the rotational station (4 axis)

the best detail i have got is by using a conical bit (v bit) and trying the model grooves by rotating my model to match the angle of the conical bit. I was wondering if this is the right approach??
