What’s going on at Boeing

I’ve waited whilst now hoping someone else would bring up the subject. Being a Brit it may appear that I’m picking on Boeing. As a disclaimer I’ve never worked on any aircraft and my only contact with them is flying in them. Not a process I particularly enjoy to put it mildly. In the light of the recent case of the missing emergency door what is the story regarding goings on at Boeing ? Their reputation has take a bit of a beating over the last few years.
