Metric Threads -

Hi Chaps,

Ive got a Southbend 9a which has Imperial gearbox.

Ive brought a set of Metric change gears so I cut metric threads


I have switched out the gears so stud gear is a 32T, meshed to the 127T and 56T on the screw gear. The tumbers are set to C and 1 (if reading from left to right)

According to Southbend Metric Transposing chart I should now have a 1mm pitch thread.

Ive done a scratch pass and tested it with thread gauge and Im getting 1.25mm thread pitch.
