I was asked to wire cut some tungsten sheet.
It's a bit slow but it wires OK.
Getting the start holes in is another matter.
Carbide drills go maybe 0.100" before they're toast.
Have any of you tried PCD drills?
I need to go through about 0.5" of tungsten sheets and my hole diameter need to end up in the 3 mm range so I can wire them up to 0.127".
Part of the problem is that tungsten sheet is brittle and it spalls badly on the exit side of the hole, even when I bolt on a backing...
