CAM issue or Machine offset issue?

Hi all,

I'm prototyping motorcycle lever guards and ran into a strange issue today, the machine I'm using is a Haas Mini Mill 2. I'm milling the top-down profile and ended up with the model seeming to be shifted upwards in the stock. The top of the model was milled completely flat instead of coming to a point to complete the octagonal profile - I'm attaching the post-op and the CAD so you can see what I mean. I ran into this same issue a while back though it seemed to have just fixed itself...
