1018 to 4140? Not sticking
I wanted to MIG weld two pieces of round bar together. One was 1018 and the other, I'm thinking, is 4140. The 1018 is 1" dia and the 4140 is 2" in dia. The weld wouldn't stick to the 1018! Any ideas?...
