How would you go about making the angled face (highlighted in blue) on this part?
My first thought was a 5 axis swarf style toolpath but the angle relative to the diameter goes from 86-94 degrees so wherever its less than 90, the backside of the end mill would gouge the part. You could use a tapered end mill but the nose radius would have to be impossibly small for the way its drawn.
The more I look at it, the more I think its unfeasible geometry but perhaps I'm missing something. How...
